Building Support for Comprehensive Sex Ed at the Local Level

This panel addressed the challenges and rewards of working to achieve medically accurate, age-appropriate comprehensive sexuality education in public schools. Panelists offered recommendations for how to persuasively introduce comprehensive sexuality education curriculum into large and complex public school systems and build strong alliances with key policymakers and other stakeholders.Critical elements for ensuring implementation of comprehensive sexuality education policies, such as continued training for sex educators, were also discussed.
